O‘ZBEKISTON RESPUBLIKASI KONSTITUTSIYASI was adopted on December 8, 1992, at the XI session. It consists of 128 articles, 6 sections, and 26 chapters. The Constitution marks a significant milestone in the history of Uzbek statehood, following the events of June 23, 1989, when a new history of Uzbek statehood began, and August 31, 1991, when the Republic of Uzbekistan gained state independence.
